Statement Season

Beaus 'N' Hoes' 2012 MFFL Record: 5 wins 9 losses. America's favorite fantasy football team truly plunges into mediocrity.

I'm not going to sugarcoat it for you sports fans, I have failed you. With so much preseason hype, so much preseason buzz, I was not able talk the talk and walk the walk. The Miller Fantasy Football League demands a special order of class and excellence and quite frankly my team's flash of brilliancy wasn't enough to be that potential threat. And while I could make up excuses that if my past 5 opponents were somewhat different I would not be in this hell hole that I am, I am here to say that I am accountable for the record that I have received. Just because an opponent puts up record numbers of 160+ points is no reason to waddle in self-pity. That just means I need to score 170.

That is why I look forward to this upcoming season. The competition is stiffer than ever, and with disappoint fresh on the mind, I am looking to ascend into a highly regarded general manager. Consider me the trash talking rookie who just got the wind knocked out of him for the first time transitioning to the pro level. Other leagues were a breeze for me, but this league houses the big dogs. I will adapt. No longer will a prima donna running back who is in the league only for the money ever set foot on my campus. No longer will a rookie feel unease because most of my trust is in the veteran household name. And most importantly, I will trust my instincts to not to draft anymore Jets players anytime soon.

With that said, I have my eyes most squarely upon 2012's most undeniable champion, The Real McCoy, and the snake in the grass, ShowMeYourTDs. Rick Flair's slogan is very true in this situation in order "To be the man, you gotta beat the man!" I split both series with both teams last year, and I intend to keep both owners tossing and turning at night praying that their deficit isn't larger than 50 points. It's 52 days until the draft. I hope you all are as hungry as I am for victories.
